Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of QuikoopVPN ("we", "us"). They apply when you use the QuikoopVPN apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android or Windows and the QuikoopVPN service. By creating an account or using QuikoopVPN you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use QuikoopVPN.
1. The service
QuikoopVPN is a VPN service for travellers. While you are in mainland China, it lets you reach websites and apps from outside mainland China by sending that traffic, encrypted, through our servers. Traffic to websites and apps in mainland China connects directly.
Internet access in mainland China changes often and can be deliberately disrupted. We work hard to keep QuikoopVPN connected, and the apps switch between connection methods and servers automatically, but we cannot promise that QuikoopVPN will work on every network, at every moment or at every speed. Some websites may also block VPN connections or behave differently because of the location of our servers.
We may change, add or remove features, servers and connection methods to keep the service working.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use QuikoopVPN. Give a valid email address that you can read, and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- An account is for one person. Do not share, sell or rent your account or let others use it.
- A paid account can be used on up to 3 devices; during the free trial, on 1 device. You can remove devices in the app.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use QuikoopVPN.
3. Free trial
New users can try QuikoopVPN free for 48 hours or 1 GB of data, whichever comes first. The trial starts the first time you connect. Each person and each device can have only one free trial; we use the measures described in our Privacy Policy to enforce this. When the trial ends, you need a pass or a subscription to keep connecting.
4. Passes and subscriptions
- Passes (for example 7, 15 or 30 days) are a one-time payment and do not renew. A pass starts when you buy it, or, if you already have paid time, right after your current paid time ends. Buying another pass adds its days on top.
- Monthly subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. If you also have a pass, your paid time runs until whichever ends later.
- Prices are shown in the app or on the payment page before you pay, including the currency. We may change prices for the future; a change never affects a period you have already paid for, and for subscriptions it applies from your next renewal after we tell you.
- On iPhone, iPad and Mac, purchases are made through the App Store and are also subject to Apple's terms. Payment is charged to your Apple account. A subscription renews unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings.
- On Android and Windows, purchases are made on our secure web payment page (powered by RevenueCat and Stripe). Manage or cancel a subscription in the app under Account → Manage Subscription.
- If you cancel a subscription, you can keep using QuikoopVPN until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Your purchases belong to your QuikoopVPN account and work on all platforms where you sign in with it.
5. Refunds
- App Store purchases (iPhone, iPad, Mac) are refunded by Apple, not by us. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Web purchases (Android, Windows): if you have not connected to QuikoopVPN since buying a pass, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing [email protected]. Once you have started using a pass, it is not refundable. If QuikoopVPN did not work for you, contact us and we will look at your case. Subscription payments are not refunded for a partial month; cancelling stops future payments.
- Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use QuikoopVPN to:
- break any law, or to infringe anyone else's rights;
- send spam, or attack, scan, hack or disrupt any network, system or person;
- distribute malware or illegal content, including child sexual abuse material;
- commit fraud or abuse other services;
- use an unreasonable amount of data that harms the service for other users (for example running servers, mining or heavy automated traffic through QuikoopVPN);
- resell or share access to QuikoopVPN, or try to get around trial limits, device limits or payment.
You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you where you use QuikoopVPN.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and let you explain.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using QuikoopVPN and delete your account in the app at any time (Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple account settings.
We may stop offering QuikoopVPN. If we do, we will give reasonable notice where we can and refund the unused part of any pass or subscription you bought directly from us. For App Store purchases, refunds are handled by Apple.
8. Disclaimer
QuikoopVPN is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or able to reach any particular website or app.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or business, arising from your use of QuikoopVPN. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for QuikoopVPN in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Apple App Store terms
If you got QuikoopVPN from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for QuikoopVPN and its content.
- You may use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Contact us for support.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection or privacy claims, and claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile network's terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using QuikoopVPN after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
These terms are also available in Chinese for convenience. If the versions differ, the English version applies.
